What’s on the economic agenda at the Trump-Putin summit?
Donald Trump’s ultimatum on Russia to end its invasion or face fresh sanctions passed instead with the US president agreeing to meet Vladimir Putin at a summit in Alaska on Friday. Washington has raised tariffs on India over its purchases of Russian oil, but no other new measures were announced. Regardless of the outcome of talks over Ukraine, Russia will be looking to extract maximum sanctions relief in Alaska. What exactly might be on the agenda, and what could be agreed?
